Everywoman's Practical Guide to the Art of Making Smart Clothes
Agnes M Miall
Published by Sir Isaac Pitman & Sons Ltd, 1937 (Second Edition)
From inside the dustjacket:
"This book is written chiefly for the home dressmaker; for the woman in the home or the girl in business who desires to be smart and well dressed on the minimum of expenditure. Every important fundamental process of dressmaking is simply and clearly explained, from the fitting, cutting out, sewing, and making up of garments to the minutest detail. These standard processes are always wanted - they are never out of date, and are always readily adaptable to the fashions of the moment. The illustrations are all actual photographs of the methods described."
The book has its dust jacket although this is creased and slightly grubbed, with lots of rubbing at the edges and tiny tears. There has been a tear in the dust jacket which has been fixed with sellotape.
The boards are in good condition with some rubbing to top and bottom of edges and spines.
Inscription on first blank page, dated 1941.
