A Simple Start to Macrame by Atlas, 1973

This is a small 8 page leaflet explaining the basic knots in macrame.

From the front of the leaflet:

"Creative knotting, known as Macrame, is a way of tying knots to produce lacy-patterned fabric or decorative braid.  These patterns, though intricate in appearance, are based on only two knots which are simple and easily learned.  These are the half hitch - known also as the clove hitch, and the flat knot, which you may already know as the reef knot or square knot."
